Tim’s practice is concentrated in the area of Corporate and Commercial Law and Labour & Employment Law.

Tim’s practice includes incorporating and organizing businesses, assisting parties with business purchase/sale transactions, corporate re-organizations & succession planning, reviewing franchise documents, drafting shareholder and partnership agreements and other similar matters.

Assisting businesses with their labour and employment needs since 1997, Tim has experience regarding employment contracts, restructurings, wrongful dismissals, employment standards, collective bargaining and grievance arbitrations.

Tim is a graduate of Harriett Todd Public School and Twin Lakes Secondary School in Orillia. He earned his Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Ecology & Evolution at the University of Western Ontario in London, and completed his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto. After working in Toronto for a number of years, Tim and his wife Wendy (nee Elliott) are proud to have their family call Orillia home once again.

As a way of giving back to the community in which he was raised, Tim remains active in the community. He is an active member and Past-President of the Kiwanis Club of Orillia and is currently the President and Chairperson of North Simcoe Victim Crisis Services.

Tim participates as a mentor to local businesses through the Orillia Chamber of Commerce Mentoring Program and is an active contributor to the Law Society of Upper Canada’s Justicia Project. Tim is a member of the Orillia Law Association and the Simcoe County Law Association, and has been a guest lecturer for Laurentian University at Georgian College. He also coaches T-Ball and sits on the Board of Directors for local charitable and not-for-profit organizations and has helped many more with their legal needs, often without charge.
